Find nourishment through more than just our menu.

Bookshelf against a brick wall with books and a framed picture of a forest.

Hosting local artists is an important way to contribute to and participate in our local community. We believe that the hands of local artisans can nourish our community in a variety of ways.

In our downtown Montpelier cafe, we feature new works quarterly. Art is available to view and purchase during business hours, but will remain displayed for the duration of the 3 month show.

A woman with blonde hair wearing a dark blue button-up shirt stands smiling in a room with a white wall, a wooden shelf with ink prints of tree rings, and a large rustic tree-stump table in the foreground.

Current Show: August 1st - October 31st

"Spirit of the Land: A Memoir of Serendipity"

This exhibition presents a collection of moments both found and experienced. I believe that the spirit of the land cannot be forced; rather, it is revealed when we take the time to slow down and truly pay attention. "A Memoir of Serendipity" serves as a record of these encounters.

Here, you will find a dialogue between the enduring history of the forest—evident in the grain of a tree ring or the texture of a reclaimed stump—and the fleeting, unexpected beauty that surrounds us: the light from a sunrise, the fog enveloping a mountain, the serene stillness of a fairground, or a heart hidden within stone.

These works are my homage to the serendipitous nature of life experiences tied to the land we inhabit. I invite you to wander through these observations and discover your own connection to the spirit of this place.
